using sprint but want to change i'm thinking about verizon here is what i'm looking for and where i'm at.

my sprint is like 1,500min 250min/anytime 1250 night and weekend. sometimes i dont get calls inside buildings (home, school, different houses/buildings), pisses me off. I get dropped if I talk inside my house. I'm looking for something else that wont do these things in my area and my list below.

1) What city/state/zip are you in?

Reseda (san fernando valley)(L.A.)/CA/91335

2) How much a month are you hoping to spend?

~30$

3) How many minutes talk time do you think you'll use during weekday morning/afternoons (per month)?

~300-400

4) How many minutes talk time do you think you'll use during weekday evenings and weekends (per month)?

~1000-2000

5) Will you be roaming outside your home calling area (your cities metropolitan area) a lot?

sometimes.

6) Will you make mostly local calls or a lot of long distance calls within the US?

a cuple calls l.d. mostly in my area

7) What do you look for in a service

1. being able to call and get calls where ever i am. which sprint isn't being very good.
2. clairity
3. no droped calls or rarely
4. nice cell phone/quality thats not expensive.

I personally think verizon is the service i'm looking for. $35 250/anytime 3000/n&w min domestic ld. Maybe At&t but they have bad quality sound imho.

I have AT&T and had teh same problem with Sprint on Sherman Way and surrounding areas. I am happy with AT&T's service.

As for AT&T's service plan.. check their website.. they have specials all the time.

using AT&T in fremont california...it's pretty good...no dropped calls or anything...

i think they just started a new promotion...

Digital Advantage $39.99 gets you
400 anytime
unlimited night and weekend starting at 8pm...
choice of 1,000 mobile-to-mobile or nationwide long distance...and i think one other option...but i would choose the nationwide LD...go here and look

EDIT: forgot to add that you're free to roam anywhere in california and parts of nevada and arizona...hawaii is either the whole state or parts...i forgot...check out the coverage map at the site or call them...

i'm using the Ericsson R289LX...some people might complain that it's big...it's about the size of a nokia 51xx or 61xx...but i got it free after the rebates...and it has web access which is free with AT&T...

i used to live in the valley. Sprint and Cingular had/has issues up there. Really sucked. I had sprint. Friends used pacbell. Also verizon is a no go in some areas up there. I had no problems with ATT up there as I visit frequently. Only in the hills near Malibu canyon do I not get reception. Other than that, most of the low lying flat areas have perfect reception.
