Looking for a New CD-RW drive and DVD-RW Drive

what are good brands? also for the dvd-rw drive.. I need one that writes double layer and all 4 formats.. can anyone help me?
also, the speeds hafta be pretty fast

I second the 3520A recommendation, as will many others--it's probably the most popular response to a question like this these days.

For a CD-RW, just get the cheapest one from Sony, NEC, Lite-On, or another good brand that you can find with respectable speeds.

TDK and Plextor are about the best you can get granted they cost a pretty penny though. My Plextor PX-716a rips a CD-R in under 2:30 and a DVD-R in under 6. I didnt do extensive seaching but out of the ones I looked at Plextor was the only one with 8mb buffers. Pioneer is also a very good company that gets overlooked somewhat they've been around for a long time though and make good stuff.
