In the near future I have to put a box together to get my gal off mine.

I'm not into a light show, bless those that are :) At this point in time a

Lian-Li PC-7 looks tempting for <$80. It lacks a removable mobo tray, PSU and IIRC only comes with two fans,
but has the openings for two more. I have a PC-601.

If you get a Lian-Li, cut out the rear fan port and cover the hole with a chrome wire grill for quiet/better air flow.

3R systems makes great cases, very silent and good performers with 120mm fans and thermometers.

I got the 3700AMB, PSU is a lil louder and the hard drives mount traditional fashion. Great case though CPU is 37c idle and 40c under load with just the stock rear fan.

As the others said, it's hard to beat any of the Antec 3700 series (or the Compucase 6A19, which is the same as the 3700AMB w/ a different bezel). For a bit more, check out the Kingwin 424 series.

I would always consider a cheiftec case.. they are durable and good for cooling and they are fairly cheap, tiger direct has some pretty good deals and can get yourself hooked up with something nice, i am 200% satisfied with mine!

Love my Lian-Li pc65 usb (in black of couse) but have to give antec it's respect also. Personally I don't think I'll ever use anything but Lian-Li anymore for my personal rigs if they keep making cases as nice as they do.
