Looking for a new car

Title says it all

In the mid teens to low 20's (I'd like to stay under 24k).

I went out and looked at a few last night. I saw a 2008 Jetta Wolfsburg that was really nice that I am currently leaning to. I also looked at that impreza and plan on hitting a toyota dealer tonight. I'm just looking for any suggestions on cars to include in my search. I don't care if it's used or new, just looking for a good performing reliable car with some nice features.

The things that draw me to that jetta are the turbo, the 17 inch wheels, sun roof, and the general feel of the interior. However I'm not sold on it just yet (21k on the sticker). It is missing a few things I would like to have such as AWD. I'm trading in my 4WD truck for this new car to save gas, so I'd like to have something that works well in the ice and snow.

Anyways, if you have any suggestions, I'd thank you.

My zip code is 46530.

how much you owe on your truck? you will more than likely get shanked on it... if you are upside down, you will lose money rather than fuel it to get a new car that gets better gas mileage...and dont trade it in.

now is not the best time...sorry, as most people are dumping their big trucks.

i'm not upside down, but I won't get much for my truck after what I owe. Bluebook says 10k, but that is not likely. But it has been having more and more problems lately so I figure it's time anyways. I know it sucks to trade in trucks right now, but as it is I'm paying for something I drive only because the wife needs the car that day. As long as a couple grand goes to the new car I'm happy.

05-06 WRX, 4 cylinder AWD + Turbo, personally I don't like the looks of the new ones. Or maybe a Legacy GT, more grown up than the WRX but still fun and AWD.

After reviewing our options. I decided I'm going to try to sell my truck outright first. I test drove the jetta with the 2.0T and it was very fun to drive. I'm going to get one, just not sure when.
