Looking for a new 56k modem.

So as the title says, I'm looking for a new modem and I was wondering if there are any outstanding models for PCI or serial. I remember my local computer technician once said that he preferred serial modems for some reason.

External serial modems are the way to go, all hardware and none of that winmodem bullshit. Best speeds and most reliable connection you can get on dialup
