I currently have something similar to This except I also have the subwoofer. It is all on my computer desk and taking up a lot of room. I am wanting to get another 24" monitor, but can't with the limited space I have right now so I am looking at getting a new 2.1 system.

The speakers need to be somewhat small so I can fit them somewhere around the monitors. The subwoofer can be larger though because I can store it under the desk. My current system can put out a lot of bass which I like, so the new system needs to have its fair share of bass. I am looking to spend around $100 if its an all-in-one type of box thing. I will go up to $200 if I buy all the components separately.

I was going to recommend the logitech Z-cinema since it had been running at newegg for about $140 for ages but now its back to $250...

I could, but the receiver type thing is still pretty big. Its like a foot tall, wide, and deep so its pretty large and I don't have any shelves that I can put it on.

I have had the Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 setup for about 6 years now. Best computer speakers I have owned. It's got a 6.5" sub that really rounds things out nicely, and the satellites are clear and crisp.

Sorta hard to find, but you can get the 2.1 from Klipsch directly.

I paid $250 for mine and they were a demo set, priced down from like $400. If I had known how good they were, I would have gladly paid the $400. So what I'm saying is - the 2.1 set is $150 and it's well worth it.
