It has been a while since i was in the SLR camera arena and i miss it. While my Nikon 775 has been good to me, it's time to move on to a better camera. Can anyone suggest one?

I was initially thinking about getting a mid-level P&S such as an a70 plus a MiniDV camcorder, but now i'm thinking about getting a better camera. Does anyone have any good suggestions/experience?

If anyone would be willing to sell me a Canon EOS 1Ds for $700, i'd appreciate it :D:beer:

Low cost and digital SLR don't go in the same sentence together. Wait a few years and might but 1500+ is going to be the minimum price of entry and that doesn't include lens and accessories.

Might consider the Canon G2 or G3. I've been considering getting one myself for a while now.

can you buy lens for G3? i would like a digital camera with interchangeable lenses, such as macro and wide-angle.
