I have a limit of about $450 and will use it mainly for gaming and internet surfing. DVI connection is prefered.

Any recommendations?
 
I just got the Nec 1760NX. Very happy with it. You can get a good deal on the Hitachi CML174 @ monitorsdirect.com. It was missing one feature that was critical for me. It does not have a button to switch between DVI and analog inputs for dual input use. It s also kind of clunky looking compared to the NEC. They both have 16ms resp time.
