I am looking to get a dog soon, and I want something that doesnt need a tremendous amount of exercise (i.e. fairly lazy) and yard space (I live in a 3 bedroom townhouse, but i could move to an apartment in the future...)

Daily walks arent a problem, but there isnt any space just to let the dog outside to run around on its own or anything...

Id also like it to be a pretty big dog.

I believe mastiffs dont require much exercise, but i dont especially like their appearance...

What are some other breeds that fit the bill?

Greyhounds from what I have heard. I have looking into getting one myself.

Er, aren't greyhounds smaller dogs that are bred to be raced?

Those are whippets. Greyhounds fall into the large breed category. The males can be 60 pounds easy. What exactly is your idea of a "larger dog breed"?

Saint Bernard. Whatever you get, make sure you get it some exercise. If you can't, get a small dog.
