I want to buy a laptop for college work and some gaming from time to time.I don't know which company models to go through because I have no idea about their durability or anything like that.
The specs I want in the laptop are:
i7 processor
8-16 GB RAM
1080p resolution. I'm not very picky on the screen size.
Min 1TB HDD( 1.5TB is preferred)
Additional SSD preferred (128 or 256 gb max)
A good Graphics card that can run games like League of Legends, Call of Duty, Counter Strike, Age Of Empires, etc. I don't need to run the games on max. I don't mind low or medium/normal graphic settings on the higher end games.
I can buy a cooling pad if the cooling system isn't that great but a good thermal control is appreciated.
Any help would be appreciated. I need to buy the laptop before the 6th of July.

Lenovo and Dell are good IMO. The others are ok (HP, Todhiba). Acer is inexpensive, so if you want something cheap but don't expect it to last too long, they are worth looking at.

How much are you looking to spend? Any specific stores you have in mind? This thread would probably be better in the SFF, Notebooks Subforum.

My budget is around 2000$. I wanted help with any specific models. I didn't know where to post so I found what I felt was most relevant. I'll copy it to thread you mentioned.

Dual posting is not allowed. The proper place for this thread is your other post.

This threade may get moved and merged.

I posted it in the other group because the ketchup79 told me I was using the wrong subtopic. I didn't know how to delete the thread so I had to dual post. You can delete this or merge. Could you tell me how to delete a thread if I post it in the wrong subtopic?
