Hey, I tried using search but couldnt manage to get an answer.
Im looking for a good KVM switch to hook up 2 computers.
A few things that I am looking for in one:
1)Must have ZERO delay between switching graphics intensive games... comparable speed to plain old "alt tab" 'n between windows on a single comp
2)Must be able to accept custom hotkeys to switch between comps. I want to have to press "alt-tilde" to go back and forth, ratherthan having to reach across the keyboard to press "scrolllock x2" found on most KVM's
3)Must be able to support 22 inch viewsonic flatscreen monitor @ 1280x1024 , and 19inch at 1024x1068 resolutions, with minimal loss of visual quality.

I bought a Belkin 2 port KVM switch in the past but that did not meet requirement 1 and 2... I ended up returning the pos. Any help would be appreciated.

The display-switching may depend more on your CRT, and how long it takes to re-sync to the video signal.

Unfortunately, you don't - not without replacing your CRT, unfortunately. It's just how they are designed, some tend to switch and re-sync almost instantly, and some may take a second or two. Some may make clicking/relay noises, and some don't.

Reduce your monitor's resync time by making sure that each video signal is coming from the KVM at the same resolution.

Yup, make sure each box on your KVM runs your monitor at the same refresh and resolution. This will help speed things up, at least on the video. My Belkin KVM still takes a couple seconds before my keyboard/mouse kicks in, however.

Expect to pay quite a bit more for a KVM that supports both monitors. This one does, and it's about $150. Don't forget to budget for cables!
