Looking for a kind of specific fan controller

Hey all... I'm trying to find a decent fan controller that can take care of 4 or 5 fans, has an lcd (and not some crappy 1 liner either), black. Support for at least 3 thermal probes would be good too.

I'd like to not spend three arms and a leg

I think the Zalman panel is what you want. It controls six fans. I don't think they are overly pricey either, maybe $30 or so?

Edit: Whoops, no LCD. All fans are mechanically controlled on the Zalman unit. (Which I prefer personally.) I don't know of any LCD screen fan controller that does more than four fans.

I have a vantec fan controller. It controls 4 fans and costed me $15 dollars. It is probably cheaper now. It's blue leds give off an impressive look. So itd be nice to show off to your friends, but that is all I recommend it for. I have a 80mm side fan and exhaust fan, and a 92mm zalman fan on my xp90. If you intend to OC at ALL, you will never ever use your fan controller. I've had mine for over 3 years and I've never actually turned it down due to noise (I'm not that picky or easily disturbed). The only time I would turn it down was if I went to sleep with teh computer on. But I hate waking up to a HOT computer. I must say that with the fans turned down to 25% it is a lot quieter, but it is also extremely hot. My computer usually runs at close to full load while I'm on it so it's pointless for me to even turn it down. Nowadays, I've been running F@H and that gives me less a reason to run it. Well nough said, if you're interested, I'll sell it to you for $8 shipped =)

Enermax "Ultimate Controller 2+2" (display active for 2 items at a time; switch to change) can do the job, if you can find one. 4 fans controlelrs; 4 temp probes. It comes with black and silverish faceplates. Around $30.

Limited angle of view of LCD. Pretty brightly coloured when lit. Kid magnetism. Alarms go off when fan RPM < 1000 -- can't be switched off (but sound turns off by itself in 30s). Should be able to disable by disconnecting fan sensor & resetting.

I use a CoolerMaster Aerogate II. 4 sensors/fans, CPU fan needs to be connected if you don't want to get constant alarm beeps. Can set RPM and temp limit for each fan individually, and the LED display is clearly visible from all angles. Very decorative, though the build quality is a little sloppy. Nothing a little duct tape can't fix though. 🙂
