Lately I have been really wanting to go out to a nice arcade and play some video games. I live in Riverside, we have the Castle, which is pretty crummy. I love going to Camelot down off the 91. But their selection of older games is missing some of my favorites. Anyone know of some good spots where I can play some of my old school favorites? 720 is a big one, I can't find it ANYWHERE! Camelot use to have it but they ditched it ages ago.

besides Camelot & The Castle I don't know of any besides the little rinky dink ones that only have a few games.

I had a GF take me to one for my birthday that had a drag race ride. It was about 45 min south of Montrose. I can't remember the name right offhand. They had a bunch of cool games.

Nickel City in PQ has old games that are all free. They have new games too for about 10-15 cents. $2 to get in but worth it!

I did a quick search for a web page and came up w/nada.

They just finished two new arcades here in Long Beach. One by the convention center
is the old style penny arcade. The other down near the crappy aquarium is all brand
new interactive video stuff. I did a walk thru after going to a movie and had to get out, it was intense, loud and young. You might want to check it out.:)

Where is PQ? I remember seeing a Nickle City in Buena Park, or some city right around there, but I never went :(

if it's 2 bucks to get in and cheap games I'm there! I looked on their web site and only saw 3 locations, none really that close, SD was the closest and that's over 100 miles from me :(

Gameworks & DNB are both good. But too expensive! And their selection of older games is pretty sad. Seems like even the street fighter games are a buck there. Sometimes I go when they have the 10 bucks for an hour and play the expensive games I suck at. Still seems like a lot to spend for an arcade.

10 bucks @ Camelot buys me 2 slices of GOOD ASS pizza, a large soda and a lot of gaming. :)

I would read around either shoryuken.com and/or corner trap.com and see where they all game...usually only big or successful arcades can afford to bring in all the newest games, and they usually throw big tournies...more people = more games?

I'm in Michigan though, so I'm pretty fvcked in terms of good arcades, so what do I know :)

cool, I am out in LB a lot, I will have to check out the penny arcade, I'm old for arcade standards (29 hehe) not too big on the "newer" games, seems like they cost a lot and you don't get a good playing time on them. That is why I like the games from my childhood.

and new = crazy DDR games. I refuse to stomp around on a DDR game and look like a idiot hehe.

You dare to play me Marvel versus Capcom 2? I'll make you look like Ashton Kutcher in a drama movie.

LOVE fighting games! Googled and damn if I didn't use to live close to that. I think I even went there way back, sounds wonderful but if it's the mecca for fighting games that means it will be packed with aces. I will own anyone at older SF games, but I cannot hold my weight in these newer ones with the Bazillion hit combos.

I'm going to have to take a drive out there, if they have SF Alpha 2 I can show some of these kiddies what a true master is.
