I have a Focus FK-9000 keyboard with a layout similar to this one:
http://www.cvtinc.com/products/keyboards/stellar.htm

The 12 keys on the left are programmable with upto about 15 keystrokes (independant of the OS) and I find them very useful. However the two options for this that I've found are the above linked one for $190 and another for $124, does anyone know of a keyboard similar to this for a bit more of a sane cost? I can live with a rubber dome action instead of mechanical switch.

The problem with my current ones is that they're wearing out, stuff is going bad, keys are sticking from years of use (the company doesn't have a high reliability record as it is), and whatnot. The company cannot repair them anymore and has the following on thier FAQ (for quite some time):
Q: Is FK9000 still available, or any other model with 12 function keys in the left side ?

A:FK9000/ FK5001 has been discontinued from our products line for more than 5 years.
For the moment, we do not have any model with 12 function keys in the left hand side. The new model to replace FK9000 is FK8200, which is a 128-key keyboard with extra 12 programmable function keys and built-in calculator/ clock..

http://www.a4tech.com has some keyboards with a decent key action that has a row of at least 15 (and you can probably use all 19 if you need) function keys that aren't too confusingly laid out, and can be fully reprogrammed with whatever keystrokes you need. I have not seen any with extra function keys on the left for years. I found some with extra blocks of regular shaped keys at the top for $130. to $150. But since these are under $20. each (for the wired ones), one can make oneself get used to the row of keys at the top... You can even make your own key labels with a Brother or Casio label tape maker.
. They have them in both standard layout and 'faux ergo' (actually the pyramid layout is an optical illusion - if a touch typist just closed their eyes and typed, they would never know the diff) - wired or wireless. I think they are some of the best stealth products in the PC biz. See my review of my wireless combo Here . The wired version of it is the KBS-8 (or the KB-8 with normal shaped keys). Use froogle.google.com to find a place to buy.

Where's the :sun: ?

I have an old Gateway anykey fully programmable AT keyboard (and an AT to ATX adaptor lying around ....)

I bought it off of ebay with the hopes to reprogram it so I would have a hard wired Dvorak keyboard ... however, I don't like the "feel" to it ... it's not super loud and springlike like the IBM Model M's that I'm used to ...

If you want it let me know, I just use software to remap everything to dvorak on my boxes .... and I use my model M keyboards

You can have it for the cost of shipping if interested
