Looking for a job that I can do while Im at my other job!

I am currently working in a computer lab, getting paid around $9.70 an hour to sit around and help users who have problems, and to answer questions, etc. This lab happens to have a total of 10 computers in it, and there are almost never users in here during class times. So its busy for maybe 10 minutes at a time, 4-6 times during the day.

What I am trying to find is a job that I can do while I am here. I have already talked with my boss, and as long as it doesnt prevent me from answering a question when it comes up, it is ok by him. The one that I had approved was to do web-design, since that could be done at my own pace during the day, and would be easy to suspend for a few minutes while answering a question. Unfortunately I havn't been able to find any jobs exactly like that available now.


Any other ideas on jobs that you can do from a work setting? Customer Service would almost be possible, but that would be a weird situation. I can always type things up/design things, etc, but I havnt found any jobs like that.

I dont have the $$ to do that 🙂. If someone has $$ that they want me to daytrade with and pay me a percentage, I'd be willing 🙂
 
Might be able to pick up a job from a prof as a reader (grading homework.) Are you a student? The work is very easy and very flexible timewise.

Hrm. I guess my only complaint is that I could be doing other things while I'm at work instead of browsing AT or reading articles.

I am a student. Next semester i will have a total of 4 Credits probably. (nice compared to this semester of 22). Just finishing up, and married so trying to make some extra $$.


I would do that, but it all comes out of the same system and they would end up having to pay me overtime to grade.... I guess I could check around though, thanks for the idea.


 
I just talked to a friend and I might be able to get a job doing support tickets/reviewing profiles for this one website. That would be a good minimum wage job to add on top.

Not very fun, but oh well 🙂
 
I already tried online poker... it was fun, made a few hundred dollars, but its not something that I want to do the entire time 🙂

You might be onto something good here 😀.

Seriously, have you considered tutoring? That's what I used to do. Just say your normal amount for tutoring is (example) $40/hr but you'll do it for half price if they don't mind a bit of interruption.

Writing/editing/proofreading is good too.

I worked with somebody who used to make jewelry (little wires, beads, making earrings and such) to sell. If I weren't completely jewelry-challenged, I might have tried it - pretty lucrative.
