Looking for a job in Nashville...

Does anyone know of any major corporations in Nashville, or perhaps a website that might have a list of larger corporations there?

I'll be hitting job fairs all this semester, but would like to contact the companies directly without going through the headhunters or monster.com sites. They have too many scam ads/sales jobs on there.

I'm looking for IT (VMware/Windows/Netware/Linux Admin positions) or MBA-friendly roles. I just applied for management job with Anheuser Busch....but would like to apply to at least 50 more positions by May.--entry level is ok.

I'm not really all that experienced in cold fusion or design. I suppose I could learn, but it would depend on the kind of projects required of me and time allowed for learning curve.

I'll check them out too. I know their headquarters is in Memphis. I could understand it if they put business in Nashville to keep in touch with the politicians.

Vanderbilt, the biggest employer in the city. Between the Univ. and the hospital you should find a few listings. They used to have a jobsite with listings that you could check.

I've checked some of their listings. I think I have a decent enough list to start with. I'm already seeing that a lot of these companies are lacking in advertising skills... they are posting positions that have little or no description. Particularly in IT, this is bad....one of them sounded good until I read that it was basically a second-line help-desk job. But they made it sound like a Sys-Admin position.....sheesh.

I'm thinking about getting out of IT and trying to get some entry-level management experience. That way I can return to IT as a manager later on and do less direct technical stuff. That'd be a fun career goal. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'll be getting my resume together and lining up applications for the next few months. If you know of anything first hand, PM me.
