My company is looking to provide free wireless internet access to our customers at one of our branches. This is the first time we are doing this kind of project, and I set out my terms for security and such, and we are now looking at finalizing our equipment needs.
We will be using PublicIP to provide monitoring/security/etc of the connection, it will be using a business cable internet connection with a maximum of 7mbs/1mbs down/up. It will be on completely separate wire from our branch's network.
What I need is a Good Wireless AP to work with this, I don't have a budget, but in these lean times, i'm hoping for something in the $1-200 range that is solid and stable, with a decent range w/ good signal. The location is not very large, and we plan to centralize the AP, so that there is no more then 25 ft from an outside wall. I am hoping to manage approximately 35-50 ft from the access point with a reasonable signal, to allow people outside of the building to use it, within reasonable distance; but my primary concern is stability. I don't need to be driving 3 hours a day just keeping this alive.
Anyone have any ideas?
