Looking for a good webhost

So I'm thinking about moving from the cheapie hosts to better quality hosts - here are the specs I need... Pretty simple stuff, I just need something reliable. I can do $10/month easily but am willing to pay more if I really need to

-at least 10 email addresses with webmail support
-the ability to host multiple domains
-lots of bandwidth. we'll be hosting short videos (about 5-10 megs a piece)
-1 gig of storage seems plenty
-uptime - this is for a small business and uptime is very important to us...

I know, pretty standard stuff but it's hard to make calls based on ads - personal recommendations rock :)

Rossman might be able to help you out...

I use midphase.com personally... I've been happy so far.

Thanks! How's the uptime on midphase? We currently have a pretty active forum and people get edgy even if it's down for 20 min once a month...

Thanks!

Reading the forum right now - thanks! I'm a bit paranoid and worried that some of these raves are plants... I'll keep reading while I wait for Rossman ;)

I've never had a single problem with Midphase... and their support is amazing... 24 hours a day I call and get a real person, no waiting... I like it... but never have I had my site go down... and the stuff they give you for their "Megaphase" plan is just crazy in my opinion...

I'd wait around for Rossman or someone else on the board though... see what they can offer... If you want more info from Midphase send me a PM.

I used to have tera-byte.com hosting and they were really good. Fast too. My only problem with them is that they dont do backup.

I have hosting with godaddy now and so far so good

Thanks for the review - I'll wait for Rossman to chime in but it sounds like a great deal.. Though I'm a little worried about paying a year up front. It's not the $$, i'm just worried if the server sucks or disappears I'm out of $$$$ instead of $10 or so.. But maybe paying for a year up front is the norm, I'm not sure.

He'll probably be here shortly, but if you search his previous responses you will learn that RossMAN is not a fan of midphase.
