So i've got DSL and cable set-up at my place. for servers and such.

I read an article about setting up a dual WAN (as opposed to paying for a T1).
Now that I'm enlightened to the concept of setting up a dual wan, and was looking for anyone's experienced opinion on what is good, and reasonably affordable (<$500).

thanks.

Best? Send me 5 units and I will test and tell you.

What's your address, I've got a couple of twinkies i can send you? haha j/k

I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest, which the hawking definitely looks it.

have you any experience with the hawking?

I was looking at the hotbrick LB2 which had some good features for the price.

I'm looking at both of these

xincom XC-DPG502
HotBrick LB2

the xincom is a little more and has vpn capability but doesn't say how many tunnels so I assume one.

the hotbrick is a little cheaper but no VPN. unless I step up $100 to there LB2VPN.

There is a very high probability in the future that i will be using the VPN.

Any thoughts, does anyone have any experience with these?

thanks

I have no experience with these two.

The VPN in both seems to be Pass Through (No End Point).

The HotBrick mentions QOS control.

Xircom is more known Entity.

D-Link makes a Dual Wan too, it has Qos VPN Pass Through, and it is half of the price of the other two.
