Looking for a good Telnet/Terminal Emulator program.

I'd prefer freeware, but it doesn't have to be.

I want a good Telnet/Terminal Emulator program...all the servers at school are Unix based, so any work I do from home (and from the WinNT labs at school) are done through telnet, and MS's telnet is kinda weak....

I'd like to be able to save keyboard mapping at least...saving session/connection profiles would be nice, so I can have a list of them and just pick one, then have my keyboard mappings and connection settings saved on a server by server basis.

Anyhow you get the idea...if you use Telnet at all you'll know what a "good" telnet program needs...and if you don't use Telnet...well then why the hell are you recommend a program for me? 😉 hehehehe j/k

Anyhow....any input on a good telnet/terminal emulation program?

I've been using Tera Term Pro for a long time now, it's nice and easy to use. Best of all, it's free..you will find it under Telnet clients section on Winfiles..Regards

This threads been a bit buried...but I just wanted to thank Cyph3r.

Tera Term Pro is great 🙂 The keyboard mapping utility is a bit obscure but I don't have to use it, the only thing I really need is backspace to work right and it has a setting to fix that in the program 🙂

It has all I want/need thanks 🙂
