What do you mean by a "good" shift knob? A shift knob is non-functional, so I assume you mean one that looks good, which is a matter of opinion. Check your local auto parts store. Circuit City sells them too, surprisingly.

That would be my first choice too. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and hoping it was destroyed in his accident.

I'll give se7enty7 a bit of credit and say that the original is probably just utter crap or got broken.

Okay, hands up who else has broken a shift linkage. Mind you, it was on an 88 Corolla.

B&M makes good, inexpensive knobs
MOMO makes great knobs, expect to pay more.

Check this place out, I got a cool knob here. Nice guy and realtively quick ship. All of them are custom made so the turn around is usually a little over a week. You can even send in stuff for him to set into the knob material.
