I haven't been keeping up with the latest goodies for the past 1 1/2 cause of new job, so i need a little help here :)
I've always looked at Asus for good stable boards, and Abit and Epox for performance boards..still hold true today?

Im upgrading a friends comp overclocking features or able to obtain high overclocks is not an issue this guy will never overclock.
features im looking for and ones i don't want; as long as they can be turned off and don't bring up the cost up too much :)
- SATA (no raid)
- Firewire atleast 1 port onboard not on an extention cable taking a PCI slot (but can deal with it if it is)
- 4 USB 2.0
- No onboard ethernet
- No onboard sound
- No onboard video
- Very stable!

He expects to pay near 180 for a good board.
I've been looking at the P4PC800-E but what do you think fits my needs?

Also what Memory would you match up with your pick of board.
