so my macbook air is my primary computer. I'm looking into a getting a set of speakers. I dont play games, and I dont watch movies. This is mainly for music, while I"m writing papers, and browsing the net.

Ideally, I would like to get a set of 5.1, to get that surround sound feel, and it would be even better if there were ones with bluetooth, so I can just place it how I like without cords restrictions. However, I could not find any online. Do bluetooth 5.1 computer speakers exist? I know there are a few with 2 speakers, but if it is just 2, there is no point for me to go bluetooth.

any suggestions on those?

Not a hadrcore audiophile, but I would like something decent. price range up to $75, but can push to $100 if absolutely worth it.

5.1 for music is useless. Spend your money on an awesome stereo setup. You'll be much happier

Damn, outsourcing has really lowered people's expectations. I remember in the mid 90s "something decent" was $250-300.

let me say though for pc audio I do believe the best sound will come from near field monitors. They are made for 1 listener.

But at home im still rocking a couple dell speakers even though i have some event 20/20bas sitting above them. People dont care because it really doesnt matter for the pc gaming thing.

I do my serious listening of music at my studio with spring traps at 50hz and lots of treatment.

Are the speakers the best there? no. But they are still good.
