I just got a new computer, and unfortunately for me, it came with no ISA slots. I have an old HP scanner that runs off an ISA SCSI card, so I am now in the market for a new, PCI version. I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to SCSI, so any advice helps ;) Is there a brand that most people recommend? And do the cards generally have external as well as internal connectors? My scanner connects through a cable to the back of the current card, that is why I ask. Also, how much do SCSI cards run price wise? I don't imagine they cost all that much.

Thanks in advance,

Jon

although you can get a pci scsi card it would probaly be easier and not much if any more to replace the scanner with usb type.

you probably just need any scsi card with a 50 pin external connector.. tekram makes high quality cards that are uber cheap.. look in to them.
