I have a friend who has never had lobster before, so need a recommendation for a restaurant in LA/socal.

Preferably something in sort of a grill setting, she doesn't like most seafood and she doesn't like most asian foods, so it'd be nice if we could order a steak or something to go with it. That way it's not a total loss if she decides she doesn't care for lobster.

just take her down to puerto nuevo. there you can get a whole lobster, rice, beans and a stack of tortillas for around $10-15. and afterwards you can buy a $10 rolexx watch and $5 fakley sunglasses.

Ruths Chris Steak House

there is a restaurant in Santa Monica called Lobster. pricy. but I heard it's romantic.

otherwise, I heard there's a place in Long Beach that serves Buffet, and their lobster is suppposedly the most famous. (plain boiled Lobster with no sauce though, just butter only. imo that's not enough).

anyways, for a real threat, check out WaterGrill in downtown. very pricy too.

If you like something casual, North Woods Inn has a decent surf & turf. There are a couple of them around the SoCal area.
