Looking for a good quality scanner

Looking into buying a new scanner for under $150. Deciding between epson or canon. Dont know which model yet. Any recommendations or other alternatives?
 
I just purchased a HP Scanjet 4070 and I love it. It is a little bulky, but it does a great job of scanning photos, negatives, and slides. I have a large slide collection that I want to capture and this thing has a great system for backlighting slides for scanning. I have done some document capture as well, and that was also very easy, with great resolution.
