Looking for a good price on a Laptop - any help?

My mother is looking for one just to do light business work. She doesn't need much, I'd like for her to at least have a 550, and at least 64 megs of RAM. So does anyone know of any decent prices around either online or at a store? I'm trying to keep the price between $1k and $1500, any help is appreciated- thanks!
 
I recommend that you go with her to a local retail and find what she wants, then buy it online from one of the discount vendors such as buy.com, etc.. Or..if she likes the compaq's go to staples and try them out and then order them from staples.com with the coupon.... or if you find a gateway laptop that she likes you can get one at officemax with $100-200 off if that offer is still available.
