Looking for a good mid range digital camera

I need a camera that can zoom, has good "pixels," and will give a good picture in very low light. I do alot of pictures in bad lighting and need something that can give decent pics without/with a low/flash (doing alot of crowd pics during presentations).

OK what do you guys suggest? Thanks. Please also give links to reviews if you can.
