I am looking for a good introductory calculus based (not algebra based) physics book and was wondering which one the Anandtech community would recommend.
I have the 2nd edition Wolfson and Pasacoff, but I am underwhelmed. Their derivation of acceleration for uniform circular motion is one of the biggest exercises in hand waving I've seen. Halliday & Resnick does a much better job. I have also skimmed through Serway a few years ago, but I recall liking Wolfson and Pasacoff better for some reason.
Right now I'm considering: Giancoli, Young & Freedman (Sears and Zemansky), Halliday & Resnick, Ohanian or Knight. Others I've seen are Tipler, Fishbane & Gasiorowicz, Serway, Wolfson & Pasacoff, Hecht, Reese.
