looking for a good DVD/CD-RW

just looking for something reliable that can handle alot of (DVD) formats like all the "+" and "-" blanks, i forgot what DVD-ROM or DVD-RAM are though... am i right in thinking DVD-ROM is just a generic term for DVDs and DVD-RAM are the DVDs in cases a-la floppy disks?

anyway, i was thinking of this drive, any complaints with this or better drives out there?
