Looking for a good display for notebook

Hi all,

looking for a good display for notebook.
I am currently using SONY CW series, which i find it very very good except the display.
The colour dept is not as good as my home desktop PC (of course it is an IPS Dell monitor)

However, i don't tend to use Macbook series, i want to stick with Windows base (Windows 7)

Can anyone suggest me which brand with a better notebook display?
high resolution and good colour dept.
Budget around US$1,000
System config should have dual core (i5) and with display card and good battery life with 2.5hours or more.

Is there something out there with my request?
 
no 8740w is the only S-IPS

the rest mostly are 6-bit or hybrid junk. ibm used to sell IPS displays.
 
Have you look into the new Sony VAIO C series 14" laptop ? The upgraded screen resolution of the 14" is 1600 x 900.
