Looking for a good computer vacuum

I bought one of those mini computer vacuums on ebay, but it turned out to be really cheap and had hardly any sucking power. I need a good tiny vacuum (preferably with a brush on the end or something) for sucking dust out of my PC case, and also for cleaning up the PCI cards which often have dust on them. Any recommendations? Looking for good quality here, but nothing too pricey.

Thanks

Yeah but that blows dust everywhere. I'm in a confined area and I can't be blowing dust around.. so I was looking for a vacuum instead. I guess I could take my case outside and use compressed air there.. but a vacuum would be preferable.

I suggest taking it out and blowing it out as vacuming it is gonna miss a lot of the dust you can't get too.

Vacuuming will not be as good as blowing it out since you really can't break up the dust and dirt like you would be able to do by forcing compressed air at the mess.

I have an air compressor that works great and is pretty cheap to use too. Save the vacuum for cleaning up after ;)

If you are working for NASA or on some other government contract you better not get caught blowing air around in electronic equipment. Dirt particles get driven into any components with moving parts like fans and switches. Also an air stream can be a pretty good static electricity generator. Much preferred is a vacuum cleaner designed to handle static discharges and a long, fine bristle brush to dislodge the dust. A good vac is a 3M Toner vacuum but it costs several hundred dollars.

man, i just use a real vacuum's hose thingy. never had a problem. I never had anything sucked in there that i didn't want sucked in. but yea, compressed air works the best if u take it out of the house. I end up using like half a can.

I use my dads industrial strength air compressor. Hold it about 5 feet away, and it makes the entire comp look brand spankin new! THE POWER!!! But for a more conventional cleanup, use cans of compressed air, that works well too.

If it's really dirty what I do is use compressed air to blow the dust loose and then I use the vacuum hose (held in my other hand) to suck up the dust that's flying around because if there's too must dust it'll just settle back in the case after you blow it out. Vacuum the dust up before it can settle back in the case.

Shopvac brand sells a kit that's got all kinds of little attachments; if you've already got a vacuum, maybe those attachments will fit. That ought to give enough suction to get any dirt (and possibly components) out of the case or keyboard.
