Looking for a good computer desk

I currently have a fiarly simple computer desk, 4 legs, one tabletop, simple keyboard tray under table top. That is it, no nooks or crannies or anything like that, my Tower is sitting on the floor to the right of me. A Dell 2005FPW and a Dell E193P on the desk. I am curious if any of you are aware of a good simple desk, that has descenet clearance between the tabetop and the keyboard tray, because the one I have doesn't have enough room for me to scroll using the scroll wheel.

Yeah that is the problem. I can't really explain it. *shrugs* Yeah I have looked at staples, officemax, officedepot, bestbuy(crappy election), wally world, kmart, target, etc. *shrugs* No dice, doesn't seem to be anything I like. Well here is to hoping that someone will have my miracle desk. Doubt it, but hoping.

You might find something here. Just click on the "Office Furniture" link at left. Their Studio RTA line might have something that floats your boat.

Not to insult your intelligence, but another option would be to look in the yellow pages under "office furniture." I know in my area there are a number of office furniture showrooms/warehouses that carry different kinds of desks than you'll typically find at office supply stores, Best Buy, et al. And if you wanna spend a king's ransom, you might find a custom furniture shop that could make one exactly to your specs.

BTW, Staples and the other office supply stores typically turn over their furniture lines a couple times a year, so maybe give it a while & then check them out again. Costco is another option, now that I think about it.

Good luck. 🙂

I spent countless hours searching for a good desk..

I ended up noticing the desks in my college computer lab were just what I needed, so I ended up going with those.

The "Desk," or table more like, is pressboard about an inch and a quarter thick, with sturdy steel pipe legs. The 30" deep table holds up a 21inch monitor without flinching, and is plenty deep that the keyboard will fit in front of the monitor. It has a passdown hole in the top of the table to route your KB/Mouse/monitor wire.

It's made by "Hon" and they call it the "training desk"
