Do you want mechanical switches? If so, I've seen the Rosewill mechanical keyboards well reviewed and with a deal they can be well below $100.

Thats a sexy keyboard! But yea, like the guy said above, if you want Mechanical Switches...go with Rosewill. I personally use a Razer Lycosa but I don't know if I should recommend it to you. Those keyboard are either hit or miss. When I got my first one, it died (it was the rubber key edition), Razer was being dumb and wouldnt RMA..so I bought a mirror edition, it was being stupid at first suffering from the key lockups or what not but I have had it for nearly 3 years with minimal issues.

I was thinking about getting a Black Widow Ultimate Edition myself just because, but it makes too much noise and I'd rather keep my Lycosa.

Noise? You mean the click? That's because it uses Cherry MX Blue switches. They have an audible click when the switch actuates. I enjoy the click and don't find it annoying at all. It actually made me a better typist.

You can get Cherry MX Brown which are like Blue with no audible click. Lots of options out there, but when you get into mechanical keyboards, they get more expensive. I have a Full Size Leopold with Cherry MX Blue switches. Love it, but it was $110.

I would say that the click is the best part :D

I have a Das Keyboard, and I remember buying it with a student discount earlier this year. If such a discount applies to you, you could save a decent amount of money on a mechanical keyboard.

I only bought the Das Keyboard because of the cool unlabeled keys =X

You can get the Coolermaster Quickfire Rapid for $80. It's superb and based on the old Filco tenkeyless.
