Hey I finally got a good one to go with this Granitebay board. I went to Fry's (yeah I know) in Burbank today and they have the P4 2.4GHz C1's in stock. SL6EF, Malaysia, Week 1 (FP0/Batch# Q301A213).
So far this chip is running at 167 at default voltage. 48c under load. Using Alpha8942 w/ Thermatake SF2. Motherboard monitor reports 1.58v. PRIME95 has been running for approx 20 minutes and it is very stable. 3DMark03 no probs there either. I know it's a small overclock compared to what Thugsrook, ErikaeanLogic and maxSe have been able to accomplish but it is a start.
I feel like the guy who has just been visted by Ed McMan.🙂 More updates to follow as I push this thing some more.
