Hi, I´m a student from Chile.
I´ve had a dozen of budget PSU, mostly brands nobody knows, the "best" i´ve had is Codegen 450w, with just 16A@12v.
I need a good PSU that can handle 3.3 vDimm & 2.0 vCore (I´m using a pair of Kingston HyperX BH5 modules & a DLT3C with a ThermalRight SP97 on a DFI Ultra Infinity II).
Here in Chile hardware is not expensive, although PSU are really expensive, mostly because of shipping costs (PSUs can be pretty heavy).
My possibilites are:
Logisys 500w Aluminium moded gaming power supply
It has 25A@12V no PFC
Price: U$80
Powmax Demon 580w
It has 24A@12V no PFC
Price: U$50
Codegen 450w
It has 16A@12V no PFC
Price: U$20
ISO Made in USA
It has 18A@12V
Price: U$40
As you can see, my possibilities are not that pretty. It seems the Powmax may be a good buy, although I´ve heard they can be crappy. Thermaltake PSU are really expensive 100 bucks or more, also you can buy Vantec for 120 bucks, Antec Trupower550 200 bucks (OMG)
I can´t afford wasting more than 80 dollars in a PSU, and I need a good one. Which one would you choose? Anybody heard something about ISO?
Please help me, or maybe you can send me one lol xD
Greetings (Sorry for my English)
