Hey all

I have a complete POS case right now, and I'm sick of it. I'm looking for a replacement.. here are my requirements:

* ATX form factor
* front USB 2.0
* removable motherboard tray
* average noise level, nothing too loud

And it would be nice if the hard drive/CD-ROM bays are removable, but that's not a requirement.

My budget is around $40-$50 shipped. I'm looking at these two cases on NewEgg, they seem like they're really great for the price, lots of positive reviews:

Case 1
Case 2

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

this is gonna be about 40-50 over your budget, but i think this case is definitely worth th eextra cash. the cases you were looking at didn't have slide out mobo trays either.

this case has every you want plus its all aluminum. the case is very light. (which helps on shipping, too :) )

i am using the black version of this case and i like it a lot. think of it this way, how long will it be before you get a new case? might as well get one you really like.

Thanks for the link... a bit over my budget though. I might need just a temporary case, and I'll get an Antec Sonata later on..that will be my permanent case.

And actually.. case #1 I posted above does have a m/b tray, check the user reviews. Pretty nice bonus considering the price!

I wouldn't touch a place named "securemart" with a 10 foot pole - just the kind of thing a sleazeball would use to lure the suckers. When someone says, "I'm an honest, god-fearing man", get a tight grip on your wallet. People that are have no need to say...
. Have you checked them out at ResellerRatings.com??? I looked and with the number of evals (even though pretty good) I WOULD BE VERY CAUTIOUS!!!

BTW, this seems to be the best price:

By the way, my CD-RW & DVD+/-RW drives have beige faces on them... what's the easiest way to change them to black?

its a bit off topic but this is easy, get some krylon brand (get the one for plastic) spray paint from walmart. assuming this is your first time practice painting on a broken/old cd rom or floppy drive(one ur not using) . goodluck.
