Looking for a good beer store

Anyone know of a good beer store in New York City. I haven't come across one yet, most of the groceries around me have screwed up shelving systems and missing bottles from the cases.

Specifically I'm looking for Redhook.

Sentinel, where are you in the city? I thought you meant you were in Brooklyn, that's why I said American Beer.

HAH I'm in Queens but only about 10 mi out of Brooklyn. Other suggestions? I don't have much to do until 6pm tonight anyhow. I haven't seen Red Hook beer anywhere around (here).

Edit: i just said Red Hook beer b/c it was the first one that came to my head. I'm open to anything that is good really.

Damn, I know there's a good place that's retail & distro, it's where they get the kegs for Water Taxi Beach in LIC...it's somewhere in Astoria/LIC, I don't remember the name though.

Bump, American Beer Distributing is fantastic. I can see why your friend highly recommends it. And I tried to go down to 21st beverages, that area is really shady.

Yep, I think 21st was it. Sorry, I wasn't sure about the area.

There's a place on broadway and 8th (or so, couple blocks down from union square) that sells all kinds of stuff for dirt cheap. Last year they had a special on smirnoff cranberry 7.xx for a 5th

I bought a couple cases of Brooklyn Lager and Redhook ESB. Nice area out there, suprisingly I didn't know of it until I looked up American.
