looking for a good 2 way car alarm

I know there are car only forums out there, but this seems to be the best all around place to get information on anything.

the bastards ripped my sun roof off my car to get inside, so I'm thinking a 2 way paging car alarm would be my best best. I saw one up the street at the store but it only did doors, windows and trunk, one that can show you the sunroof was violated would be lovely.

also on a related note, since my insurance doesn't cover nothing on my car, how much would I be looking at on a 2000 Ford Taurus to get it fixed? they yanked the whole frame work off to get in. Nothing looks damaged on the car side from what I can see, and the actual frame looks to be in pretty good condition.

The shock sensor should catch them ripping out the sunroof. DEI makes a good 2-way pager but make sure the range is good enough.

Did they take anything of value?

My guess is about $500 in parts if you have to replace glass, motor, track etc...

they took my 12" sub + an amp, tried to take my crossovers but they are bolted down good, they also took my money clip, which I leave tucked away in my center console so I don't end up buying crap I don't need I lost about $200 there. Kind of ironic how the very reason I didn't have my money on me ended up being the reason I lost it.

the track seems good, the glass is gone, I dunno about the motor, honestly I don't use it much and if I could get it fixed, even to where it wouldn't open I'd be more then happy.

Damn I can't find a single review of this, but it looks really nice. Color OLED screen with animations is just the kind of extra uneeded but cool feature that would push me towards it I like Viper so I think I might have to go pick this sucker up. On the pricey side, but the rest of my car stereo (which they didn't get) is worth way more. Thanks for the link! I don't think I would have ever found this model on my own.
