Yeah, I've seen that one but I'm leaning towards these two. I'm not sure if I should go for the Firewire version or just get the cheaper USB 2.0.
I take it the Firewire port will be powering the drive where as it seems some USB drives use dual USB ports or a PS2 port for power, anyone have any information on this?
If you can't afford or don't want to spend too much on USB 2.0+Firewire enclosure, and have to pick just one, go with firewire, it's faster than USB 2.0.

True, Firewire is a little quicker. But, if you plan on using the enclosure on different or multiple computers, USB ports will be more common than Firewire. Just my 2 cents.
All the current Macs have firewire ports, while new PC mobos are catching up on including firewire port in addition to the common USB 2.0. If you have a firewire port on your system, get the firewire enclosure, if not, get a cheap PCI firewire card.
Well I have Firewire on my machine but I know I'll be on other machines that don't, so both will be used. I assume that the firewire port will power the drive correct?
