Trying to find the perfect 1440p gaming monitor for my setup. I have a 60hz 4k IPS Monitor that looks great, but generally I am not pushing into the 60 FPS in most games at 4k. So I think I want to move it over to being my secondary display for Video's and web browsing and getting a higher refresh monitor that I can push between 60 and 90 FPS at 1440p and lock it in, maybe being able to take advantage of Radeon Chill when I can. Input lag and absolute highest refresh rate not that important. But Good color accuracy, viewing angles, HDR support are must. VESA mounting and small to no bezels would be nice. But the big thing is I want to avoid paying the Gsync tax since I am unlikely to use it but not get something someone cut corners on because its not a Gsync monitor (for example Asus with large crappy looking plastic bezels on the Freesync version of same monitor).

Current system config is
3900x
32 GB of 3200 DDR4
Radeon VII

The newest LG Nano IPS 27" is probably the "best" IPS 144hz 1440p panel currently on the market.

LG 27GL850

Lenovo Legion Y27q-20. Probably the same panel. I really like mine.

Only sold EMEA (europe, middle east, africa)

So not available in north america at all.

In the US, the only 27" 1440p gaming panel Lenovo has talked about is an upcoming 240hz model. The Lenovo Y27gq-25, and it's a TN panel.

Could become available though. It was just released here in Europe. Lenovo Y27gq-25 is also available (though, costs basically double the 165Hz IPS version which is rather laughable for a TN panel).

EMEA here :) glad to hear about the Y27q-20 as it gives me another option to consider.
the LG, sadly, is not available here (yet? or ever?)...
so its the Lenovo, the GIGABYTE Auros (Gsync) or the MSI Optix MAG271CQR (curved VA panel)
i'm not even looking at the ASUS ones, too expensive for no reason other than posturing.

After 7 years with my 1080p 120Hz Samsung, I ordered the Lenovo Legion yesterday with a slight Black Friday price drop 12%. it should arrive next week. First game i'm going to play on it is Outer Worlds.
truth be told, i wanted the AUROS, but there was no sale on it in local online stores so i went ahead with the Lenovo after reading many good user reviews about it.

Just got 2X of the Benq EX2780Q for work (I do mostly mechanical CAD and FEA, and spreadsheets and other office type stuff). Will be interesting to see how they do in a non-gaming environment. They were on sale for $399 each, so seemed like a good time to buy. Will be replacing a 24” and 30” Dell, both of which are quite old now.

I'm a little late to the thread, but the Nixeus EDG 27" is a fantastic monitor. IPS, freesync, 144hz, 178 degree viewing angles, good color reproduction, 4ms response time and low input lag. I've had mine for around 3 months now and love it. The stand (if you get one with yours) is basic but has the usual tilt, height adjustment, and pivot. Control panel is pretty basic but works well.

Hardware Unboxed has done a number of tests of monitors. I think they are quite good.

The LG monitor mentioned above of probably the best they've tested, but it's not the best in everything and some lesser monitors might be good enough.

It's the monitor I'll end up getting but I don't mind spending a little more as I keep monitors for a long time. It'll be replacing a 10 year old 30" 2560x1600 monitor.

I upgraded to the LG 27GL850 a couple months ago and have been quite happy with it. Don't know how much of a panel lottery there is with the LG but mine has excellent uniformity and not a single stuck or dead pixel. No complaints about the fit and finish of the panel or monitor as a whole. It's a Gsync compatible monitor and that seems to be working great. I upgraded from a Dell U2410.

Been wanting to upgrade for years but always been on the fence due to the apparent poor quality control from AU Optronics, and monitors using other panels just not having the whole package of specs and performance I wanted. I was leaning heavily towards the Nixeus NX-EDG27s v2 and was about to buy one when the review for the LG popped up on TFT Central. Two other recent ones I looked at were the Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ and the Gigabyte Aorus AD27QD. All 4 of these seem to be comparable as a whole. I ultimately decided the LG was right for me.
