Can anyone recommend a sharp shooter or sniper game thats fairly simple
to play ? I use to own a couple of guns many years ago and was playing
call of duty on a friends computer when I found that shooting the scoped
springfield rifle was fun. I'm not looking for anything with 30 levels of
missions and what not. Just something easy to play. Also, a retail purchase
would be preferable to a credit card / download.
 
Battlefield 1942 allows you to just be a sniper... keep respawning as a sniper. Other than that, I can't really think of a game that's as "sniper friendly."
 
Farcry is easiest to be sniper, you get the option of doing so. Other games such as America's Army, being a sniper is a privilege. As for Counterstrike, the game can be harmfully frustrating if you aren't good. Otherwise it's a drug.
 

Get the original Unreal Tournament ('99) and play the (sniper) map CTF-Face. Find a populated server, grab a sniper rifle and some ammo, hide in the shadows on the side of your team's tower, and snipe away. Of course, opposing players will come looking for you. (Or, go to the other team's base, plant yourself somewhere on the side of their tower, and snipe away.)
 
FarCry, CoD, BF1942, UT. They're all good games. BTW, as MisterChief said, this is the wrong forum for this kind of thing.
