...but that does not require you to log on every 30 minutes throughout the day to build at a steady rate. I enjoy MMORTS but would really like a game where you only need to play for 1-2 hours (in one sitting) to remain competitive in the game. Here's a list of some of the more popular games:

I'm currently going through this list until I find the game I'm looking for, if it's even out there. I imagine a game like this would simply allow you to build/train armies in 10-30 seconds with a limit on the amount of buildings you could build each day, thus giving you time to go and actually do something else without having to interrupt your day just to remain competitive in a game.
I realize that I could just play Evony and sacrifice being competitive, but that does not interest me at all (and I don't think I'm the only person who feels this way). There have to be some game designers out there that understand that people actually have lives but also want to enjoy a game for a couple hours every day (not for 5 minutes every half hour the entire day).
