I'm looking for one that doesn't install a ton of spyware and ad stuff on your computer (if such a program exists). It doesn't have to be the best peer-to-peer program, just one that doesn't invade every part of my computer.

Any sugestions?

Thanks

DC++ on SourceForge.net is a free, spy/ad-ware free C++ port of Direct Connect. Just find a hub or eight that you like and share away.

You might also check out Overnet (uncheck the optional installation items or it WILL install spyware, and then run Ad-Aware just in case). Overnet is good for larger files due to multi-source downloading, and does not rely on centralized servers (whose admins can ban you if they don't like the content you're sharing). It also has downsides.. overall speed is relatively slow, and sometimes you can be stuck with useless partials when nobody has that last missing piece in the middle of the file.
