Looking for a deal on Dual Dvi card

The lowest non-pciE dual dvi card that newegg has is $158.

Any better deals around for a non-gamer (w/64mb+ memory)?

geforce fx 5200, but i don't know about dual dvi... you might find one but that is a cheap card with 128 mb and works for anything. i have one and is a great text performer, if there is such thing.

Nada. Consumer dual-dvi cards start out with the 6600 and climb up from there.
Prosumer cards start off at the Quadro FX1100 but at a higher price tag.
I don't know about Matrox or ATI cards though.

Excellent, thx Excelsior. Being concerned about missing this, I just bought one - and its now OOS. I picked up a dvi extension cable as well...and now its out of stock too. 🙂

(Hopefully their inventories are accurate.)


Any other/better suggestions are welcome...with the holiday, there's a couple days to cancel this if a better deal is out there.

They had a new or refurbed? It got pretty good reviews from a few people that bought it new.

They bought it new. Two Anandtech members bought this card new last year and neither could get the second DVI to work correctly. I had considered getting this card until I read their horror stories. That's why I interested in hearing about your experience when you get it. If both DVI works well, I might get one in the future.

The second dvi port doesn't work correctly on this one either. Almost any display activity in it (moving windows, opening apps, etc.) causes the screen to flicker off then back on. :thumbsdown:

I'm probably going to take a shot at another one...I would prefer an nvidia card but they are almost twice as much (gforce 6600), not to mention the newegg rma refund fee of 15%.
