Hey, everyone.

I keep hearing about "gaming PCs," but, honestly, I don't understand what that means. I've seen games like Doom 3 and Battlefield 2, and none of them seem even remotely appealing to me.

Still, I'd like to play a graphic-intensive game, just to get a feel for what it means to rely on your video card for performance.

Does anyone know of any medieval-style graphical games which would challenge my basic AGP 4x video card? I want something that's strategic.

Any suggestions?

Age of Empires 2? Not really that graphically intensive for a "gaming pc" but depending on how "basic" your AGP video card is, it might be good enough.

Neverwinter Nights (D&D RPG)

World of Warcraft (MMORPG)

Silent Storm (turn-based WW2 game, squad-based missions as in old movies like Force 10 From Navarone and Where Eagles Dare)

EQ2 its very graphic intensive. And its swords and stuff.A gaming PC nowdays is a graphics card a processor that can keep up and a massive amount of ram. My minimum would be 6800GT 2 gig ram 3200+ AMD Anthlon or better Intel. WOW might also work for you but there are guns (blackpowder or so). If its first person or rpg morrowwind or bg2 have stood the test of time, neither is all that modern though. My opinion of course, yours may vary.

And the next game in this series- called Oblivion- should be coming out late this year

Rome:Total War as well. With a ton of units battling it out, I hear that game can bring systems to their knees!

You heard right! Even my 3.0 P4 and 6800GT would clug a little in the bigger RTW battles. Medieval is much better suited for older systems.
