Looking for a contact management program

I'm on a jobseek quest, and part of it involves calling/emailing companies and trying to get a hold of a few key people. I want to have some software that will keep that company info and will log the last time I contacted those people and how I did it (email / phone / snail mail) so I can know when to contact them again.

People in sales probably use something like that for their pitches and stuff, but I just couldn't find anything. I have a Palm PDA, so it can be something for that platform as well.
