Looking for a codec for Windows Movie Maker

A friend sent me a .mov file and whenever I try to edit it with movie maker it says I'm missing a codec to do it. But which one?

MOV is usually a QuickTime file. Not sure WMM will work with the QT codec. You may need to use a transcoder to get it to DV-AVI or WMV for editing. Try the tools section at Videohelp.
