Looking for a Christmas Gift

Basic 19' LCD would be the Samsung 915N for 300, one of the most popular LCDs I've found (everyone I know has one). Then you have the Viewsonic VX924, which has good speed and good for gaming, costs 350. Then you have the Viewsonic VP930B, best picture, I think it costs around 400.

I have the Dell 1905FP and I like it a lot.

Runs about $360.00. Also I havent priced 19" LCD in a while so this may not be the best for your money but it is very nice. You will not be disaapointed.
 
$300-$500 is a very large price range..try to be more specific and narrow it down to what you want. You could easily get a HQ 20inch for $500.
 
Samsung 970P if you can find it for <$500. Else, ViewSonic VP930b. Both are good for pretty much anything.
