looking for a chess set...

crazy, i saw some crystal chess set(traditional) for like 800 bucks once....looked really sweet, specially the black peices, they were slightly transparent....

My little brother has a pretty neat Simpsons chess set, but its not fantasy, it is plastic, and its kinda gaudy... so sorry...

Why play chess anyway? Play GO 🙂 The game of Go rulez

Oh hey, you're in LA.
There's a Gamekeeper or WoTC (not sure which) in the Westside Pavilion, and Puzzle Zoo on 3rd Street Promenade. Try those first.

i looked at gamekeeper, they didnt have enough selection, and what i saw i couldnt afford. I do Love the Romans VS. Egyptians, though.

I have a set of pewter (at least that's what I think the material is) ones that I got when I was in Russia. Handmade, handpainted, the worksmanship is incredible imo. I wish I was at home so I could take a pic of it. I haven't seen any sets like it for sale in the states, so I'm glad I made the investment. too bad no one in my family besides me knows how to play...
